Since I last checked in, I turned 32, I adopted two kittens, and generally July has felt like an upswing in terms of my mood and inspiration to go after things. June wasn’t my favorite. It was the first year I spent my birthday alone in bed. I was just tired. The world, everything. Pandemic birthdays are hard, and if you’re feeling that I feel you. I say we just reschedule this shit the same way we can reschedule unusual holidays. That said, reach out and ask for what would make you happy. You just might get it. I had a lot of amazing people do some truly incredible things for me and it was wonderful.
The kittens are named Mitsy and Giuseppe. They were born on April 7th, so they are little Aries babies, and boy are they! They are little yin yangs, though. Mitsy is just a little rolly polly, and Giuseppe has energy for days. You can read more about them here. I already have an Instagram Highlights Reel going, and I love them deeply in my soul.
In other big news, today was alerted that the local news channel took a picture of one of my street art pieces for the Black Lives Matter movement and posted it on their Facebook page. It kind of went viral! I stayed on the phone with them and made sure they credited me in the caption on Facebook because I’m potentially missing out on thousands of followers over the 19 hours I didn’t realize it was posted, but now I found out there’s also an Instagram so I’m hoping they credit me there too. You can go comment to say Hey! Give artists credit! if you want. 🙂 but my post is better.
