How to Choose the Right Online High School for Your Teen

by Uncustomary | Jun 17, 2026 | How To

Families consider online high school for many reasons. Your teen may be managing anxiety or depression and need time for therapy. They may train many hours a week in gymnastics, dance, or another activity. A chronic illness may make daily attendance unpredictable, or...

Sperm Motility Test at Home: The Everyday Factors That Move the Result, and How Men Read It

by Uncustomary | Jun 17, 2026 | How To

More men in the UK are checking their fertility from the kitchen table rather than a clinic waiting room. The appeal of a sperm motility test at home is obvious: a private snapshot of how well sperm are moving, without a referral or an awkward appointment. What the...

How Everyday Comfort Can Help Older Loved Ones Feel Safer at Home

by Uncustomary | Jun 17, 2026 | How To

Comfort is not just about soft blankets, favorite chairs, or a cozy room. For older loved ones, comfort can affect how safe, steady, and respected they feel in their own home. A familiar morning routine, good lighting, a warm meal, or being able to choose how the day...

The Importance of Timely Alcohol Detox: 4 Signs You Can’t Ignore

by Uncustomary | Jun 17, 2026 | How To

by Uncustomary | Jun 16, 2026 | How To

Some campsites are little more than a place to park, pitch a tent, and sleep before heading somewhere else the next morning. Others have a completely different effect on you. You arrive planning to stay a night or two, then suddenly find yourself wondering if...

My dad came up with an alternative. He told me I could have a rock garden. I said that wasn't a thing! He said it was in Japan. 🪨

So I would go outside and water my rocks that I collected on walks and at the park.

What if you made a wish garden? 🪴

After 20 years of studying 🧠 psychology and human After 20 years of studying 🧠 psychology and human behavior, my current conclusion 🤔 is that what makes us the most unhappy is: when we do things that hide us from who we actually are.

🫥 Sometimes it's in response to a horrible event, sometimes it's because we've been shamed into thinking what we like or who we are isn't GOOD or "PROFESSIONAL" enough for our age, culture, etc. 🤦🏻‍♀️

+ a huge combo is not believing we're CAPABLE of living the way we want in combination of these things.

The pressure, performance, masking, grief... it's so much. 🎭

I think one of the reasons people have this belief that you might get "happier" as you get older is because they start to see people giving less of AF 🤷🏻‍♀️ about what other people think as they age. 👑

You absolutely don't have to wait until you're 40th or 50th birthday to do that. 🎂 You don't really have to wait for anything. 🚫⏳

🫵🏻 If you feel like you don't KNOW what you like or who you are or HOW to feel like yourself... or even WHO or WHAT that IS? 💫🫧 I have some ideas, inspiration, and science-backed techniques that might help you.

🌤️ "You may not always have a comfortable life and 🌤️ "You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” 💕- Michelle Obama
