Happy Valentine’s Day, you lovin’ fools. I’m writing to you from San Francisco, which I can’t wait to share all about when I get back to Baltimore. Although, I kind of don’t want to go back! My desire to live here is stronger than my desire to live in Chicago, which is pretty remarkable after only a day and a half.
Anyway, I want to wish you a very happy day today. Please remember that it’s not about being in a romantic relationship. If you don’t have a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or whatever, don’t beat yourself up! You don’t need to “survive” or “get through” February 14th. You’ve got this! Be your glamorous self, and engage in some self love. I hope you know how fabulous you are.

Send yourself flowers, ask Dominos to make a design on your pizza with the toppings, or splurge on a delicious meal. Listen to that music you, for some reason, feel guilty for liking. Wear a dainty shawl, cover yourself in fantastic smelling lotion, and don’t skimp on the sparkles. Remind yourself why you’re exceptional, and if you really feel like crying while watching a chick flick… do it! Go all out with popcorn, footie pajamas, and waterproof mascara. I love you, I believe in you, and I hope you have a great day.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Mary! Yay for celebrating platonic love instead of just romantic love, too! ^-^
Here’s to self-love and to loving awesome friends like you! :p
Always kind of a strange holiday to me…but I do love San Francisco! Thought I’d live there when I grew up. Ended up a little farther east 🙂
