Weekly Happiness

Hi there, friend! I’ve been busy since I last checked in with a happiness post. Let’s see…

I went to Pennsylvania to check out Happy Place, which is very aptly named (stay tuned for tons of photos in my Instagram like this one and a video montage!).

I drove to DC to participate in my 8th (9th? I really need to sit down and count) No Pants Subway Ride! It was so much fun and we even got in the Washington Post! I’m about to make the post for that, so stay tuned!

I started a new tradition of having a Dad Daughter Date Day every month, and my dad and I went exploring in Bethesda to a fabric store, a CBD store, a witch store, and IKEA. We got lunch and dinner, talked and caught up on so much, I even got to show him my planner, and of course he insisted on washing my car! Oh, dads. I love mine so much.

I finally did something I’ve been meaning to do, involving dressing in all red, bringing a tiny inflatable tube man, and finding a giant inflatable tube man. I posted it online and the feedback was incredible, including Kaitlin Olson (from It’s Always Sunny, my favorite show, who this video was inspired by), reposting me! Hell yes!

There have also been several magical synchronicity moments where I’ve stopped to rethink things and enjoy life, like the epiphany I had on my walk, blowing bubbles at the National Mall as the sunset and seeing my vision board come to life, and something that I’ve been waiting eleven years for, almost to the day, happened. I had to pull over on the side of the road during rush hour in the freezing cold wearing almost no clothes to witness it, but it made me sob uncontrollable happy tears, remembering that I am where I need to be.
