Happy Wednesday and Discover What Your Name Means Day! Here’s a site for you to check into the history of your name. I’ve heard conflicting things about my own name all my life. The Virgin Mary, “bitterness”, and other things. Tell me what your name means!
And yes, it’s Wednesday! That means that it’s time for the weekly photo contest. Today, I’m asking you to take a picture of something patterned. Sometime today, take a picture and upload it to social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are all fine). Be sure to tag me in it, so I definitely see it, and #uncustomaryart. At the end of the day, I will pick my favorite, e-mail you for your snail mail address, and you’ll get a little envelope in the mail from me! It’s pretty simple. (And yes, it’s open to non-US people.)

What’s on your happy list this week?
According to that website, Janice is a revised form of Jane that was invented by an author. Jane is the feminine of John from a million years ago in France. John is kind-of a dumbed-down Yahweh, which means GOD, and in particular the statement the name was taken from is “Yahweh is gracious”. That’s actually what I’ve heard my name means before in a roundabout way. God’s grace. Ha ha.
I love all the stuff you did this week. You have a very full dance card, girl.
My name means Queen Mother. Sweet!
Your weekly happiness made me happy this morning! Thanks!
My name is from the Norse language and it means “eternal ruler”. I’ve known this since I was 10 years old, since I used to love looking through baby name books!
