Yesterday was the Letter Writing Social at the US Postal Museum in DC. I had a blast! When I got there at noon everything was already set up (and what a set up it was!) and there were already a few people working. I got to meet Melissa, who helped host the event, for the first time and she pointed out that Bonnie Jeanne (Post Muse!!) was there, so I promptly jumped and ran over to her and she hugged me. What a wonderful woman.
There were a lot of stations and free things for you to use to make your own mail. I worked on some letters and postcards and got to meet some fellow mail lovers (nice to meet you, Becky). I didn’t take many pictures of the people because I was super excited, but I did manage to get some shots of the supplies. Can’t wait to see the pictures that the Postal Museum took!
So wonderful, right?? The amount of materials was incredible and overwhelming. A very generous supply. And you can see from the one picture that there were a lot of people that came!!

A fabulous experience overall. Thank you to the Postal Museum and Melissa for putting together a great event. I will absolutely be attending any future get togethers you guys have. I wish I could say “watch out, heaps of mail headed to your mailboxes!” but it was a much slower production rate than we all were used to. We agreed, though, that we were okay with that. 😉
PS – I thought it was cute that we all couldn’t stop referring to each other by our postal aliases.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
You’re very welcome, Maria!
