I’m so ridiculous because I prematurely did the Get Messy prompt for July last week. Since it’s my first month, we’re letting it slide, but you can be your butts that I’ll be on time next month with whatever challenge the lovely founders serve us.

This week, I’m sharing a couple pages from my journal that I skipped over previously. But I’ve decided that it’s totally okay to share shitty pages, because as Caylee says, we should “make shit, even if it’s embarrassing”.

This first page includes some of my favorite Andrew WK lyrics, which I (not so) secretly wish a boy would sing to me in a sincere way.

This page includes a phrase I wrote a couple years ago, after I discovered street art. It was a sentiment I meant so much, and still do.

These pages are the ones I was actually embarrassed about because of how horrible my drawing skills are. When I found the yellow hair in a magazine, I knew I wanted to draw a face underneath of it, but my fine art skills are lacking in a strong way. I can’t remember the last time I drew a face.

The point, though, is that you are beautiful.

You are beautiful. Not in spite of your flaws, but because of them.
