I was nervous to tell anyone that I was doing a signing at Barnes And Noble. It seemed to good to be true, and I was nervous which isn’t an emotion I experience too often. It was real, though. It was very real.

I walked in and approached the Customer Service desk and the manager, Rich, knew exactly who I was and directed me to the display they had for me. I freaked out. I was really glad I hadn’t eaten anything beforehand because I definitely was going to throw up.

From 1 till a little after 4 I sat at my own table and got to talk to strangers about my book, the process of publishing, and self love in general. I met a lot of really lovely people and I’m so glad I got to have this surreal experience.

Afterwards, the store manager, Priya, told me to sign the remaining books and she slapped “Autographed Copy” stickers on the covers and not only put them on the shelf in the Personal Development section, but made a separate display at the Customer Service desk. I’m so honored, privileged, and over-the-moon happy to have this happen. It still doesn’t feel real.

I have very few words to describe what it’s like to see your book on the shelf of the biggest book store chain in the country. Very few. I have feelings, but they’re indescribable. I’m just so grateful and humbled.

If you’re in the area and haven’t gotten my book yet, I would love and appreciate it so much if you would head over to the Ellicott City location and pick up a copy of my book for yourself or a friend. (They’re pre-signed!) I have readers from age 11 to 70. This book is for everyone. I think if we can prove to Barnes And Noble that my book is in high demand and sells out this month, it would be likely I could get more locations to carry my book and that’s the next step in this dream plan.
