Since I’ve switched formats for happiness posts, I’ve kind of missed sharing the small pleasures of life every week. So I’ve decided to share a list in the first Happy Post of every month.

Little Joys:

 catching myself before falling into a frozen lake during a photshoot  silly Superbowl commercials  the convenience of having your parking validated  getting a text from Joe at 11:11, reminding me to make a wish and that it’s a full moon out tonight  the way Bug can’t control himself around ice cream  squeezing five girls into one bathroom stall  Bonnie saying that I was her “gift” that day for her 365 project  the idea of wearing a prom dress on a bus with mascara smeared all over your face  the commercial saying “The Princess Bride is brought to you by… Vagisil!”  hilarious dental workers  a super fun package from Janice  sneaking into Costco to get a cheap hot dog  friends cooking me extravagant meals late at night  hiding Batman Valentines all over Joe’s room (and having three of them still missing)  driving over 100 MPH  seeing teens dressed up on Valentine’s Day on dates at the mall  super fancy hotel rooms that I can’t not do somersaults on  Joe’s blue velvet coat  providing audio for muted talk shows playing in the back of taxi cabs  the feeling of taking a corset off after 11 hours

Oh, I can’t resist. Here’s 20 more beautiful things I refuse to let go unnoticed:  preparing for a snow storm by going to Sonic instead of a grocery store  soft pretzels  getting all green lights down Lombard Street  the idea of taking an Uber to SeaWorld  playing Space Team  walking to Royal Farms in the middle of the street after a snowstorm at 4 in the morning  walking into a restaurant and saying “Oh god, the napkins are cloth and I’m not even wearing a bra”  the local deli making super fancy decorated cheesecakes for no extra cost because they were bored during the snowstorm  the 40th year anniversary episode of SNL  finding my lost wallet in the refrigerator  reading #GIRLBOSS  that god damn blue/black/white/gold dress debacle  charming the police officer who pulled me over and giving him a”you are beautiful” sticker  the way Joe never judges me  being able to have intelligent conversations about South Africa with my South African cab driver (thanks, Caylee!)  when you expect food to be sub-par and it ends up being delicious  the sound of the snow melting off the roof  getting strangers to join in on fun  Russell Brand’s new stand-up special  getting postcards from new countries
