#82 on my 100 Ways To Be Creative list is to measure something really large with something that is not a ruler or another traditional form of measurement.

For this project, I decided to measure a light rail station shelter, and I decided to measure it with a banana. It’s actually not a real banana, either. It’s a banana case. I think I got it at the craft store, and it came with a little yellow spork inside. It’s really awesome.

I would like to report that the perimeter of this light rail shelter is 88 bananas long. You’re welcome.

Have you ever measured something without a ruler?
