I want to thank everyone who has donated to my Kickstarter. It’s only been a little over a week, and I’m completely overwhelmed with your generosity with not only backing the project with your hard earned money, but sharing my campaign with your friends and followers on the internet. It’s made me feel more grateful than I ever realized was possible, honestly. I owe you all so much, and you’ve given me SO much hope.
In case you didn’t notice, I’m FULLY FUNDED! That means that the amount I set out to raise was donated, and everyone who pledged to get a reward will get it, it also means that this book is happening! Yes, you can still donate even though the project shows as being at 100%. You can still get rewards, too! I can be as over-funded as you allow me to be, and every bit still helps! The $2,600 I originally asked for was just to cover the costs. So anything I make over this mark can help me to actually make a profit, not just break even!
[edit] I’m announcing a Stretch Goal, which means that if the fundraising hits $3,300 then all the backers will receive an award ribbon in addition to the other rewards they’ve claimed. If we get past $3,300, I will make another Stretch Goal for a second additional reward. Keep it going!

What’s on your happy list this week?
Yay!! Congratulations! That’s fantastic <3
Also, I DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A BEACH BALL PIT IN DC!!! I have to find this when I go home soon!!!
Yes! It’s actually semi-disappointing, but it’s a great idea!
I still need to visit that beach ball pit! Maybe this weekend… 😀
It’s actually not incredibly impressive :/
Congrats on surpassing your goal!
And the DC beach ball installation? Was totally unimpressed by it. I think we were fed SO MUCH hype over it by the few people who recommended it to us that once we got there and saw the line and then went upstairs to check it out from above we were like “uhhhh, wut?” (Our Building Museum experience: http://www.kelseyespecially.com/2015/07/friday-field-tripnational-building-museum/)
Did you visit the gift shop there? That place had THE COOLEST stuff!
I actually agree. It was pretty to look at, but the photos made it look WAY cooler than it is. Half of it is the sand area, like, where the lawn chairs and stuff would go, and the ball pit wasn’t very deep at all. The concept is great, and I’m glad it’s getting a lot of attention. The architecture of the National Building Museum is incredible, but other than that, eh. I didn’t think they had a gift shop, though! Now I need to go back, haha!
