There’s a song by Paul Baribeau called “10 Things” that will make you contemplative every time you hear it. The whole idea behind the song is that you shouldn’t put off the things you want to do. If there is something you want to experience or accomplish, then GO DO IT. Using this song as a prompt, I wanted to share my goals with you. I’d really love to hear your thoughts and answers as well.

Because right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out.
That’s the only thing you can be absolutely certain about.
Think of all the things that are wrong with your life and then fix them
Think of all the things that you love about your life, be thankful you are blessed with them
Think of all the things that hold you back and realize that you don’t need them
Think of all the mistakes you have made in your life, make sure that you never repeat them
Because right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out.
That’s the only thing you can be absolutely certain about.

Soon enough the sun will set, another day will be gone
And right now all you have is time time time yeah,
But someday that time will run out.
That’s the only thing you can be absolutely certain about.
Okay! Your turn!
I would love to try the velcro wall!! Seriously, how cool would that be?!?! Love some of the places you want to travel too. A few of them are actually on my list too!
Oh that’s awesome! I bet we’d have a lot in common then. 🙂 Thanks so much for commenting! (And if you get word of where to get a Velcro wall, keep me updated.)
I know where to get a Velcro wal 😉
Of course you do, my favorite grown up.
Great lists! It reminds me when 43things.com and 43places.com and some other 43something sites were up. #goodtimes.
Have you considered making this into a public art project where you ask people to write three bucket list items on a piece of paper? It would be interesting to see the different responses people leave in various places. e.g. on a busy downtown sidewalk versus a quiet park. Ooo. This is getting me excited. Maybe I’ll do it!
Oh, I just realized… Before I Die.. chalkboard project.
Yeah, Candy Chang kinda has that installation handled. 😉 But we could still do it on a smaller scale! Also, she has instructions online (or at least she used to) about how to make your own board for your city. You could do one in Chicago and I could do one in Baltimore!
