Oh helloooo! Is September just skipping by for you, too? I hope it slows down for a minute! I love this time of year so, so much. My main event this past week was road tripping deep into Virginia to a friend’s lake house. The house itself was perfect; exactly what you’d expect to find when you look for “lake house”! My other best friend, Laura, didn’t get to have the summer she planned on, so our friend, Marty offered her lake house as a sanctuary. It was perfect.
It was like a mini burn, in a way. Everyone took a meal so everything was taken care of and we just got to have fun! We watched “Willow” on a projector that had originally been fiddled with because of some feedback issues. We made it almost all the way through the entire movie before someone said, “Does this look a little green?” and I wish no one had said anything! Apparently the cord they had to take out to make the noise issues better removed all the red coloring, but it was my first time ever seeing this movie and in its whimsical nature, I totally thought they had just intended to make everything green! I never want to watch that movie again. Not because it was a bad movie, but because I don’t want to see Val Kilmer holding a baby over in normal colors. My version is better.
Saturday, we headed out on the boat and the jet skis and got the happy playlist blaring paired with the thuds of hitting the boat hitting the water. We found a little beach area where I collected rocks, we swam, ate lunch, (I lost my favorite jelly shoe RIP) and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Pssssttt. Did you see I released a FREE e-course on MAGIC?! Sign-up here.
