I thought that a good way to use some of my postcards would be to incorporate them into an interactive installation. I bought a roll of 33 cent (postcard postage) stamps, stuck my address in the “to” section, and left a tin full of postcards and pens outside.
I really hoped that this would encourage people to send mail, because all they had to do was write a message. I even placed the tin and sign about 10 feet from a mailbox. I was sad to see that I only got one postcard. I don’t know what happened to the rest of them. That’s a lot of wasted postage. ๐
