For my 15th Fun A Day project I drew inspiration from luzinterruptus who does a lot of street art installations involving light. They had a specific project involving an umbrella and plants that I decided to recreate. Instead of using a plant, though, I had a string of battery operated lights and a silver garland. I also taped confetti to the umbrella to give it a little more flair.
I stuck the handle into a grate and positioned the rest of the stuff so it wouldn’t fall in or anything. It was really fun and the first street art installation I’ve done at night. I also had to wait for a police officer to leave the street, which took a little bit.
