Hey babe! We’re halfway through May! How are you doing with your goals? If you feel like this month is flying by, don’t worry. Take a deep breath, put your feet flat on the floor, and close your eyes for just like thirty seconds. Ground yourself. It’s okay; shit happens. This is a busy time for so many of us. If you’re in the upper half of the world, the weather is officially warmer and things are now open that weren’t before. Construction is happening that wasn’t able to before. Lots of people are having their end of semester finals, or they’re graduating. It’s busy busy busy! No worries. If you think it’s going to stay this busy, pick just one thing you want to accomplish the rest of this month. That’s totally reasonable, and I believe in your ability to cross it off the list.
So in terms of updates, if you didn’t sign up for and Uncustomary Babe package by yesterday evening, you’re not getting May’s special snail mail surprise. BUT! You can still get some awesome stuff in the mail by signing up for the Awesome Package! You have till the 20th to do that.
Off topic: My whole life, whenever I’ve had an issue in a relationship I’ll tell the person and they’ll respond however they respond. But whenever they want to come back at me with something I’m doing “wrong” in the relationship, the common theme for over a decade has been that I don’t put the caps back on my drinks. It drives people crazy and I can’t motivate myself to change. Tonight, I told Joe that if he organized a flash mob and at the end held up a sign that said, “Please cap your bottles”, I would do it, and he said, “I guess I’ve gotta be okay with the caps then”. So I feel like either I get to keep doing what I’m doing or I get a flash mob. Basically I’m a genius. Anyway, speaking of beverages and boyfriends, mine let me shove a bunch of cocktail umbrellas in his beard for this month’s Uncustomary Beard feature. (If you saw this, go comment with an umbrella emoji on the Instagram post!)
