For my 10th Fun A Day project I recreated an installation I saw online of some huge red ruby slippers. The link doesn’t click through, but you can see the original picture here. All I did was get some shoes from the thrift store, painted them red with glitter, and stuffed some black and white striped socks with pillow fluff.
I stuffed the ends of the socks in the crack of the door, of what I assume is the concession stand, at the park in Federal Hill. I haven’t been back to see if they lasted, but I bet not. I feel like they looked pretty cool, though. And it makes me want to watch Wizard Of Oz, which I haven’t seen in years.
Can you think of other famous movie images that would be cool to recreate on the street?
