The Essential Guide to Combining At-Home Skincare With Professional Treatments

by Uncustomary | Jul 10, 2026 | How To

The best skin results come from at-home care and professional treatments working together, not one replacing the other. A great skincare routine can maintain healthy skin day to day, but it rarely addresses deeper concerns on its own. Professional treatments,...

The Sleeper’s Guide to Preventing and Treating Chronic Shoulder Pain

by Uncustomary | Jul 10, 2026 | How To

Waking up with shoulder pain is common, but it is often overlooked as a sleep-related issue. Many people assume the discomfort will simply pass on its own, without ever connecting it to how they position themselves at night. Sleep position and habits play a bigger...

Peptide research has been moving in a specific direction for the past several years. Single-pathway models are still common, but there’s been a clear push toward studying compounds that interact with multiple receptor systems at once. The reasoning isn’t...

What did you love about this month? 💬
2 questions for you: ⤵️ 💕 what things do you beli 2 questions for you: ⤵️

💕 what things do you believe are easy? 💕 what do you know you're good at?

for me, I would say I am good at 🎭 performance art, 👗 putting together an outfit that will get compliments and 🗣️ spark conversations with strangers, ⚡️ being audacious, 🍌 being silly, 😜 loving being weird and not caring what other people think, 🅿️ getting good parking spaces, 🎟️ being lucky and winning raffles. 💕 and I also believe those things are easy.

things i have believed are difficult: 🔹 being in a healthy relationship, 🔹 making and keeping money, or 🔹 having easy and positive mental and physical health.

but why are those things difficult? 🤷🏻‍♀️

🚫 the answer is they aren't.

they're no different in any of the things i am good at and the things I've felt were difficult. ⚖️

some people would say they're great at making money or having a healthy body, but don't find expressive dressing or speaking to strangers easy or natural.

🟰 but we're the same. those things are technically the same.

the only difference that exists is: ⤵️

1) the belief about whether or not it's easy
2) the practice and reps to experiment, research, and apply tactics that work to create that goal for yourself which only come when you believe it's possible

the things you believe are easy will become things you know you're good at. 🌻

so maybe you can start to pretend to believe the things you find difficult are actually EASY. 👀 see what happens.
This is the problem with AI. This is clearly a pho This is the problem with AI. This is clearly a photo of ME. 🐥👑🫧
🧠 You have 167,000 thoughts every day. 95% of the 🧠 You have 167,000 thoughts every day.

95% of them are the same as the day before. 💿 Broken BS record. 🤦🏻‍♀️ That's way too many thousands of thoughts to think every day forever.

45% of your behavior (actions!) is based on habits. ⚡️ AKA if you've got a routine, ritual, or something you do as second nature... you're basically 2X as likely to actually follow through with it. 🔁

So. If you're feeling like you're in a rut, stuck, or on autopilot... 🧟‍♀️ let's start with thinking something different. And then doing something different.

But let's break it down. ⤵️

So the thing to think is how you wish you felt. If you're on autopilot and a 🧚‍♀️ fairy godmother came down to grant a wish for how you could feel, what would you choose? 🪄 Alive? Exuberant? Hopeful?

Now that you know it, you have to do something so the fairy godmother actually comes to your house. 🎒

Homework: 🤔 You have to figure out something you can add into your daily and/or weekly routine that will help you feel (or get closer to feeling) like the magic thing you wished for.

📰 If you want to feel hopeful, could you make it a homework assignment to watch inspiring documentaries or only read good news for a week?

💫 If you want to feel alive, could you assign yourself the task of walking in the woods barefoot or looking at the stars? Or driving with your hand out the window?

So the thing we're doing here is 🔹 identifying how we want to feel (think differently) and then 🔹 finding a habit to begin that will help it make that feeling more accessible (act differently).

And as much as it seems like adding a new habit will move you towards just a different KIND of autopilot or rut.. you're right, dude. 🤣 It does. We are in a constant flux of ritual. It's just up to you to decide what habits you participate in.

Like, you know you gotta eat dinner. 🍽️ But you decide what goes on the plate.

So. How are you gonna mix it up? ⤵️

PS - If you're bored, 📧 DM me BORED and I'll send you a random assignment.
