How to Coordinate Roof Tear-Off Debris With Material Deliveries and Daily Crew Workflow

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

Roof replacement involves two major material movements happening almost simultaneously. Old shingles, underlayment, flashing, damaged decking, and other components must leave the property while new materials arrive and move toward installation areas. If these...

Kitchen Design Strategies for Making Small Spaces Feel More Open and Work More Efficiently

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

Post-Construction Cleaning Priorities That Help Make Newly Finished Homes Ready for Use

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

Finishing construction or renovation work does not automatically mean a home is ready for normal use. Cutting, sanding, drilling, painting, and installing materials can leave fine dust and residue across surfaces far beyond the immediate work area. Even rooms that...

A Practical Framework for Deciding When Roof Repair Makes More Sense Than Replacement

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

A damaged roof does not automatically need to be replaced. A few missing shingles after strong winds, a problem around one penetration, or an isolated section of damaged flashing may affect only a limited part of the roofing system. The harder question is whether...

Deep Cleaning Priorities for Resetting Overlooked Spaces After Months of Everyday Use

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

A home can look reasonably tidy while still holding months of dust, residue, and debris in places that routine chores rarely reach. Weekly upkeep naturally concentrates on visible floors, counters, sinks, and furniture because these surfaces affect everyday comfort...

How Pest Control During Home Renovations Can Prevent Problems Behind New Finishes

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

Home renovations change more than the appearance of a property. Removing cabinets, opening walls, replacing flooring, or updating plumbing can expose spaces that have remained hidden for years. These temporary openings may reveal pest activity that was previously...

by Uncustomary | Sep 20, 2026 | How To

Dog Daycare Routines for Dogs That Need Productive Activity During Long Workdays

by Uncustomary | Sep 18, 2026 | How To

How Kitchen Pest Activity Can Reveal Hidden Entry Routes Behind Cabinets and Appliances

by Uncustomary | Sep 18, 2026 | How To

A kitchen can look clean and well maintained while still providing hidden routes for unwanted pests. Cabinets, appliances, plumbing lines, and wall openings create concealed spaces that homeowners rarely see during ordinary cleaning. When insects repeatedly appear...

I made a sign reminding people they are allowed to I made a sign reminding people they are allowed to play in the grass. 🌱

Which is a little ridiculous because nobody actually owns the concept of sitting in grass. But sometimes we forget that we're allowed to interact in public space. Or see things like grass as fun instead of something we're obligation to take care of. 🍃

We came up with weird rules like ... Walk on the sidewalk. Sit on the bench. Cross the grass if you need to get somewhere. Don't lie down unless it's specifically A Picnic. Don't roll around because... you're 38 and people can see you?

There are too many totally made-up rules governing what we're allowed to do with our bodies/lives once we're 'grown up' (+ before).

So I made some different ones:

PLEASE PLAY IN THE GRASS 🌱

roll around
take off your shoes
wiggle your toes
run your fingers through the plush turf
watch the wind blow the blades
traipse around
twirl in the sun
lie on your back
braid pieces together
feel it breathe
feel yourself breathe
hear the birds
remember the beauty
let it all feel good
the rules don't apply here.
we made them up anyway.
the grass belongs to all of us; we are one.
just be kind.
leave it better than you found it.
🌱🌱🌱

I've been thinking a lot lately about how feeling more alive might require LESS advice and MORE participation.

Less 12 habits to optimize your morning routine + more things you can touch.

That's why i create interruptions that made you wonder "Wait... am I allowed to do that?"
And then realizing nobody is actually coming to arrest you for twirling in the grass.

This is part of why I love guerrilla art so much. 🎨
It can change the instructions for a place.

A patch of grass turns into a place to play. A stranger changs into a participating friend.

+for 5 minutes, the world can operate according to slightly different rules because somebody bothered to make them.

Please play in the grass.
We have enough signs telling us what not to do. 🌱💗
