“People of our time are losing the power of celebr “People of our time are losing the power of celebration. 🎉 Instead of celebrating we seek to be amused or entertained.

Celebration is an active state, an act of expressing reverence or appreciation. 🙏 To be entertained is a passive state- it is to receive pleasure afforded by an amusing act or a spectacle....

Celebration is a confrontation, 💫 giving attention to the transcendent meaning of one's actions. - Abraham Joshua Heschel

What did you love about this month? 💬
2 questions for you: ⤵️ 💕 what things do you beli 2 questions for you: ⤵️

💕 what things do you believe are easy? 💕 what do you know you're good at?

for me, I would say I am good at 🎭 performance art, 👗 putting together an outfit that will get compliments and 🗣️ spark conversations with strangers, ⚡️ being audacious, 🍌 being silly, 😜 loving being weird and not caring what other people think, 🅿️ getting good parking spaces, 🎟️ being lucky and winning raffles. 💕 and I also believe those things are easy.

things i have believed are difficult: 🔹 being in a healthy relationship, 🔹 making and keeping money, or 🔹 having easy and positive mental and physical health.

but why are those things difficult? 🤷🏻‍♀️

🚫 the answer is they aren't.

they're no different in any of the things i am good at and the things I've felt were difficult. ⚖️

some people would say they're great at making money or having a healthy body, but don't find expressive dressing or speaking to strangers easy or natural.

🟰 but we're the same. those things are technically the same.

the only difference that exists is: ⤵️

1) the belief about whether or not it's easy
2) the practice and reps to experiment, research, and apply tactics that work to create that goal for yourself which only come when you believe it's possible

the things you believe are easy will become things you know you're good at. 🌻

so maybe you can start to pretend to believe the things you find difficult are actually EASY. 👀 see what happens.
