Targeted Instagram Followers – How to Gain Them for Your Brand

by | Jun 26, 2024 | How To | 0 comments

Whatever strategy you devise for building interest in your content will undoubtedly include increasing the number of followers you have. Targeting the right Instagram users is essential, as doing so helps to ensure that the people who are seeing your content are the ones who will likely find it the most valuable. Today’s purpose is to highlight what may be necessary to grow your community.

Want More Real Instagram Followers?

There are many ways to get more followers. However, not all of them are built equal. You will often find offers out there that claim to grow your community, but you’re getting nothing more than bots and other fake accounts. If you’re going to remain within the confines of Instagram’s terms of service, you’ll want your growth to come from real people.

How to Get More Targeted Followers on Instagram Organically

Even with all the competition out there, it is still very much possible to increase your audience organically. Some of the key ingredients that you will need are:

  • Creating content that is as engaging as possible.
  • Scheduling your posts to achieve consistency.
  • Paying attention to any major competitors within your niche.
  • Following your competitors’ followers (liking and commenting on their posts can also be helpful).
  • Responding to comments and direct messages quickly and consistently.
  • Doing keyword and hashtag research, so your posts can hit the nail on the head.

Building on an established presence, such as with verified Instagram accounts for sale, while continuing to focus on organic engagement and audience relevance.

Optimize Your Profile

Instagram continues to get updates, meaning the tools available and the strategies used to optimize your brand image should be dynamic.

For example, do not underestimate the use of Instagram Reels. Since they were added to the platform back in mid-2021, many content creators have used them to great effect. After all, they are meant to compete with TikTok, which has taken the world by storm. In fact, many of the most popular creators have started to prioritize them over other types of content. Using trending sounds is also a great idea.

Adding locations to your photos can also be a great move. You would be surprised to see the extent to which people are interested in location tags. This is especially true when places they visit, live, or are interested in are being mentioned.

It may also be a good idea to switch your Instagram profile from a personal account to a business one. Doing so will unlock a host of powerful features, such as call-to-action buttons, analytics, and ads.

Publish High-quality Content for Your Targeted Instagram Followers

While you do want to be posting consistently, try to focus on the quality of your content instead of getting out as much of it as possible. Take the time to understand what your audience likes, as well as what may be the best way to capitalize on the tools available to you. Who knows? Better captions could be the very thing that takes you to the next level. Services like followbuddy let users track their unfollowers, which can be useful information for evaluating audience changes.

Leverage Keywords to Appear on Instagram Searches

As is the case with other content platforms, keywords need to be a part of your visibility strategy. You will need to do some research to find out which topics are trendy at a given time. Simply searching for a hashtag will show you the most popular results. This means you can get a feel for the kind of content that works best for that specific term.

Utilize Instagram Stories

Thanks to Instagram Stories, you have a quick and easy way to keep your audience engaged. You can use photos or short-form videos that will be up for 24 hours. Many content creators will simply use them between actual posts to keep themselves in their followers’ minds.

Typically, you aren’t going to be sharing a host of important information here. Instead, that will be reserved for your standard posts. The strategy should focus on fun moments or quick announcements that don’t necessarily need to be on your page permanently.

Bear in mind too that links are supported as a part of each post, so a simplified call to action doesn’t hurt.

Collaborate with Others

Many creators find that they are most engaging when there is someone else in the picture. Additionally, this cooperative approach can help to grow both sets of audiences. After all, not only will your audience be getting introduced to whoever you’re collaborating with, but their audience will also be introduced to you. As you can see, there is a mutual benefit to be enjoyed here.

Is It Smart to Buy Targeted Followers on Instagram?

Buying targeted followers can be an outstanding idea when you’re doing business with the right platform. Remember what was said earlier about garnering real followers instead of bots and other fake account types that violate Instagram’s terms of service.

Pros of Buying Targeted Instagram Followers

Here are some of the advantages to bear in mind:

  • You can get access to high-quality users who will not unfollow after a few hours or days.
  • There is no need to worry about Instagram deleting them or penalizing your account for any kind of violation.
  • You are taking part in a safe practice that is a crucial part of a successful marketing strategy on Instagram.
  • The process is easy to follow, and the turnaround time is pretty quick.
  • Reaching the explorer page becomes more likely.

Cons of Buying Targeted Instagram Followers

Provided that you go the trusted route, there is no need to worry about any downsides. However, that can’t be said when you choose the easy way out by going with bots. Here’s why you don’t want to buy targeted Instagram followers from the wrong platform:

  • Fake followers will destroy any credibility you have.
  • Any brands that you may want to work with will likely turn you down once they realize counterfeit accounts are at play.
  • Expect bot accounts to spam you more than you ever thought possible.
  • You’re opening yourself up to the likelihood of having to deal with inappropriate comments.

Final Thoughts on How to Get More Followers on Instagram

While increasing the number of followers you have requires some level of strategy, using fake accounts is not the way to go about it. It is better to purchase real followers from a trusted platform, while you continue working on your organic community-building methods.

In Columbia, Maryland, there’s a former grocery store that has been transformed into a department store for mythical creatures, time travelers, and intergalactic tourists.

It’s called DoodleHATCH.

You can groom a unicorn, visit an intergalactic space station, climb onto a giant’s bed, meet guinea pigs, explore an artist’s studio, and discover approximately a million other things that somebody actually sat down and made.

It’s a nonprofit interactive art museum, a community project, an educational resource, and one of my favorite places I’ve ever discovered.

And it could be demolished as part of a proposed redevelopment of the Long Reach Village Center.

But there’s still an opportunity to help.

You don’t need to donate money. You don’t need to live in Maryland. And you don’t need to know anything about zoning laws.

You can start by writing an email.

🚨 Here's what's happening

Developer Columbia Concepts has proposed redeveloping the Long Reach Village Center in Columbia, Maryland.

The proposal would replace existing buildings with new housing, recreational facilities, and other development.

Unfortunately, that puts a whole collection of existing community resources at risk of being demolished, including:

  • DoodleHATCH Interactive Art Museum
  • Maryland Fashion Institute
  • A makerspace used for community education
  • Local restaurants, shops, and service businesses
  • Early childhood education and community programs
  • A 140-foot-long mural created by approximately 100 community members

This isn’t just about losing a fabulous museum. It’s about losing an entire collection of places that people have built, supported, and relied on.

And there’s another possibility!

🌈 Meet The REALM

Lee Andersen, the founder of DoodleHATCH, and her nonprofit ManneqART want to preserve the existing community resources and transform the village center into an arts and culture destination called The REALM.

Imagine a place where artists have studios, children have room to explore, students can learn creative skills, people can attend performances, and local businesses continue serving their neighbors.

There are plans for a performing arts space, more opportunities for artists, and a Witches Kitchen that might serve you a horrible-disgusting breakfast.

Which, personally, I think sounds promising.

The people behind DoodleHATCH are gathering support to oppose the developer’s zoning proposal and advocate for The REALM.

And they’d love your help.

💌 How to help in about two minutes

If you live in Howard County, Maryland

If you’re 18 or older, DoodleHATCH is asking eligible county residents to visit the museum and sign their petition in person.

📍DoodleHATCH Interactive Art Museum

8775 Cloudleap Court, Unit 101
Columbia, MD 21045

⏱️ Museum hours: Friday–Sunday, 10 AM–5 PM.

And while you’re there, I highly recommend exploring the museum. Bring someone who needs a reminder that being an adult doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying ridiculous things.

If you don't live in Howard County

You can still help!

Hello,

I’m writing in opposition to Columbia Concepts’ proposed redevelopment and zoning amendment for the Long Reach Village Center (ZB 1132M), and in support of The REALM.

I believe communities need places where creativity, imagination, and play are actively encouraged.

DoodleHATCH is an extraordinary example of what can happen when artists and community members are given room to create something that doesn’t fit into an ordinary commercial space.

Places like this are rare. They encourage people of all ages to experiment, learn, explore, and connect with one another.

I support preserving DoodleHATCH, the Maryland Fashion Institute, the existing community resources, and the vision for The REALM.

🐹 Wait. What exactly is DoodleHATCH?

I’m so glad you asked.

DoodleHATCH is an interactive art museum in Columbia, Maryland, created by artist, designer, and professional generator of wildly ambitious ideas, Lee Andersen.

The museum is designed as a pretend department store for mythological creatures, time travelers, and galactic tourists.

There are dozens of installations, and unlike most museums, you’re encouraged to touch things, explore, and participate.

There’s also an artist’s studio full of fabric and handmade garments, workshops, special events, birthday parties, free books, and opportunities for local artists to share their work.

The museum welcomes families and children, but adults are absolutely allowed to enjoy themselves, too.

And the woman behind it has spent decades bringing creativity into the community through fashion, festivals, education, and public art.

I discovered DoodleHATCH in 2020 and loved it so much that I started volunteering.

I’ve been back multiple times, and there are still things I haven’t seen.

That’s part of what makes it special. You can keep discovering things because people keep creating them.

You don't have to live near DoodleHATCH to care about it.

There are Merriment Makers everywhere.

People turning empty buildings into art spaces. People organizing parades. People teaching kids how to sew, paint, dance, or build things. People putting enormous amounts of time into projects that make their communities more interesting.

Sometimes they’re running nonprofits. Sometimes they’re working out of their garages. Sometimes they’re making something weird in a strip mall that you might drive past a hundred times without realizing what’s inside.

I hope you’ll help protect DoodleHATCH.

And I hope you’ll look around your own community, too. Visit the strange little museum. Go to the local art show. Find the person who makes giant puppets or organizes an absurd annual festival. Spend your money at the independent shop with the handmade things.

There are people everywhere creating reasons for us to be curious about being alive.

I’d like them to be able to keep doing that.

Help save DoodleHATCH. Help protect The REALM. Help keep the world interesting.
