A big aspect of my job as Merriment Maker is to ma A big aspect of my job as Merriment Maker is to make sure there is JOY coming at you from all angles. There will always be things that could annoy, frustrate, and disrupt your flow. And our overarching goal is to be in a place where they don’t affect us and we just observe and move on (which is something you learn more deeply how to do in The Merriment Makers), AND it never hurts to have joyful, positive stimulus near you whenever something adverse just hit! That’s why there are three daily drops in the Facebook community, good news texts, physical mail, 24/7 chat, Q&A/group coaching. It’s not impossible to be in a bad mood when you’re surrounded by positivity, but it does become more difficult! I want to remind you of how good the world AND YOU are! Consistently. I never cared very much about getting candy when I I never cared very much about getting candy when I went trick-or-treating as a kid. I loved when I got toys, stickers, stationery, and goody bags. So as an adult, I make elaborate goody bags with fun toys to hang out instead! This year, since I’m having a party, everyone who comes is going to get their own goody bag. 🙌 Plus a mini pumpkin. 🏥❤️‍🩹 As you read this, I am in surger 🏥❤️‍🩹 As you read this, I am in surgery. Dr. Parshad is excavating cysts and endometriosis. They are diagnosing and identifying the problem. I am putting faith in his hands. And even though I have done everything I was supposed to do, I also know, nothing, even something someone has done 1,000 times before, is guaranteed. Nothing in life is. That's the wonderful, crazy, haunting, beautiful part of it. It's humbling, isn't it? Not just that today could be my last day, but that every day could be. So when I come out of that surgery, I hope I have more answers. I hope I have less pain. And I hope, more than anything, that I am still here. I was inspired to think more about what I wanted to say, what I wanted people to know, what I regret, what I still want to do, and what I am grateful for this past week.
