Hello, lovelies. Happy Thursday! It’s time to check into my art journal. Feeling pretty bright and crazy this week, so my pages are reflecting it.
I keep a quote journal. I document famous things writers have said, powerful lyrics, and hilarious conversations. I’m also not above writing down things that I say myself. The Wes Anderson rainbow color palette is something I said a few months ago and I re-read it this week. Probably the best thing about keeping a quote journal is being able to go back through it.
Another entry in my quote journal was a text conversation between Janice and myself. I texted her “I’m so tired I’m drunk”, and she responded back immediately with “Turn it into chaos”. I fell in love with those words instantly.
I felt like this image with all the business represented chaos well.
Today is World Post Day. So I hope you make time for some snail mail, my fellow journalers and artists. If you’re in the DC area, come join me at the National Postal Museum at 5 for a mail social.
Get Messy is an art journal challenge where a gang of crafty vixens are sharing art journal pages we have created to practise our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. We share our pages without restraint every week, and once a month we create around a prompt. Go check out these crazy talented ladies who each have a unique perspective and style. We will be sharing our work around social media so follow the hashtag #getmessyartjournal
Oh you must have some gems in there!
Thank you!! Thanks for commenting 🙂
I love the crazy colours! World Post Day sounds like fun, I might send off a couple letters 🙂 Have a great weekend! xo Bec
Thanks! Yeah man, I hope you do! I’ve got some posts on how to find penpals and navigate the USPS. Let me know if you need help finding them or have any questions!
I really need to keep a place where I can write down my random sayings cause sometimes, it’s funny. I love both your quotes. They are great. Especially the tired one. I have sooo been there.
I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I started keeping my favorite quotes/sayings in one place. I’ve filled up one book already, and having a tangible thing I can hold full of inspiration and humor is absolutely priceless. I can’t recommend it enough!
