I stood on a street corner in the cold with a sign I stood on a street corner in the cold with a sign that said, “Ask me about Merriment”.

Cameron came up to me to do just that. I told him about embodying, creating, and spreading joy. I told him about sharing good news.

He was so excited to tell me some good news he had that day. His good news? Breakfast tacos! Delicious, delicious breakfast tacos.

That is good news, I agreed. What wonderful news.
If you think any of these things are going to help If you think any of these things are going to help you be a better adult or human, it might, depending on your version of “better”. What I CAN tell you is it will NOT make you HAPPIER. 😕

Don’t miss out on obvious fun. Go bowling, play mini golf, write with sidewalk chalk. You’re just a taller, older kid! 🎳🏌️‍♂️🖍️

Don’t wait for luck to show up in an envelope at your door. Go make your own opportunities. Everything else is icing. 💌🚪🍨

Don’t avoid discomfort. Every evolution comes from leaning into what feels weird, strange, and uncomfortable. It can only hurt for 90 seconds; then you’ll learn from it. 😣💪

Don’t beat yourself up when you do something wrong. It’s just a mistake. LEARN and move on. Shake it off. 💪✨

Don’t harp on stuff you don’t like. There’s a difference between noticing what feels uncomfortable internally to create change and trying to control things outside of yourself and commiserating in nonsense. 😒🙅‍♂️

HAPPINESS COMES WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE. 😄
Embrace your childlike wonder! 🌟 Sometimes bein Embrace your childlike wonder! 🌟 Sometimes being seen as frivolous is just part of the package when you’re spreading joy and enchantment. If that’s what it takes, let the doors close that shouldn’t have been open in the first place. It’s all part of being true to yourself. 🌈

To ME, Positive Psychology is not about “only po To ME, Positive Psychology is not about “only positive thoughts” 🚫🌈, it’s about how can I take this negative thought and problem solve it?! 🤔💡

When I come upon a problem, something I want to change, or the feeling I’m unable to do something, my goal is to attempt to creatively problem solve. 🛠️🎨

It’s not about what can’t I do, but what can I do to find a new way, overturn a new rock, and feel better. 🔄🪨😊

This applies to helping myself AND others. 🤝💖
Many of us want to feel happy, 🤩 but we haven’t clarified what that would even look like. You can’t feel good if you don’t even know what feeling good FEELS like!

🌈 When you feel good, everything else falls into place. Trust me.

But feeling good also needs to be planned for. 📝 So what are your goals? Guiding principles? Values?

This is your reminder to write YOUR ❣️ Merriment Manifesto!

Moulin Rouge was one of my favorite movies growing Moulin Rouge was one of my favorite movies growing up, and the musical version did NOT disappoint!

The sets were STUNNING. I can’t wait to have a house I can completely recreate the Elephant room inside of!

But my goodness, the MEN in this show really did it for me. Usually I identify with femme performers, but I found the men in this show to be SO full of SOUL and SPIRIT!! Danny Burgos stole the evening for me!

Something I love about Moulin Rouge is all of the song mashups. I enjoyed that they kept some of the original mashups and made new ones for younger generations. Kind of like how Fall Out Boy redid “We Didn’t Start The Fire” with current events!

My favorite number by far was the Lady Gaga dance number. It was sensual, intense, and haunting. I had no idea I needed Lady Gaga in Moulin Rouge and now I can’t imagine it without her.

ALSO they really put on a pre-show! We got to have chocolates, champagne, play with boas, and I even took home so merch! They know how to treat a lady! My goodness!!

Thank you as always to @hippodrome for including me and DEFINITELY go see this show. This is a great one for younger audiences. The finale is worth the ticket all on its own!

Part of public guerrilla art is the inevitability Part of public guerrilla art is the inevitability of littering. 🎨🏙️

At the beginning, it’s art, but depending on the installation, as the months, weeks, days, or sometimes even hours go by, it will evolve and disintegrate as all things do. ⏳🔄

I don’t want to assume someone will clean up what I do, and sometimes things fly away. 🌬️ I can’t control the elements, and sometimes I have to release what happens. 🌦️

As a way to counter this, whenever I install art, I pick up a bag of litter to offset the footprint. 🛍️🚮

Enjoy the art! 🎉👀
