Three Health Appointments you Should Book In

by | May 19, 2026 | How To | 0 comments

No matter your age, there are always health appointments which you should be booking in. The amount of times you need to do these, vary depending on your age – for example, older people need more frequent hearing checks than younger children.

We know life can get busy, and it’s easy to postpone appointments when you have work, family, and other responsibilities to juggle. However, making time for regular health check-ups is incredibly important, as they can help identify potential issues early and ensure you stay as healthy as possible. Many appointments are preventative, meaning they are designed to catch problems before they become more serious and harder to treat.

Staying on top of your health can also provide peace of mind. As when you go and get the all clear (which happens more often than not), you can then relax knowing your body is healthy and functioning as it should.

Below are three health appointments you should book in and be having.

Hearing test

Many people don’t think about booking a hearing test until they notice a problem, but regular hearing checks can be incredibly beneficial. Hearing loss can happen gradually, making it difficult to notice changes straight away, but most of the time when people get a check-up, everything is fine.

If when you do get a check-up something crops up, the good thing is there are plenty of solutions out there now. Hearing aids are better than they ever have due to technological advancements and there are treatments out there that could fix the problem with a small treatment. If you do have to have hearing aids, make sure you prepare yourself with all the questions you need answered. Such as why hearing aids change your voice when you are hearing yourself through them.

Eye check-up

Even if your vision seems perfectly fine, regular eye tests are essential for maintaining good eye health. Eye examinations can detect more than just changes in your eyesight,  they may also identify early signs of other health conditions, including diabetes and high blood pressure. They are easy to book and can be done in most town centres at your glasses shop, such as boots or specsavers

Dentist

Our final check-up which we think a lot of people put off is the dentist. Everybody should be going to the dentist regularly to ensure their teeth are healthy and that you are looking after them correctly. When seeing a dentist, they can make recommendations on how to keep your teeth perfect as well as treat anything that they think is going to potentially come up, before it gets worse and you need a major treatment.

How do you find getting appointments for the health appointments above? Is there one you dread most or do you find them ok and just get on with them? Is there any appointment which you regularly have which you think is important for other people to have? Let us know in the comment box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
