Real words from real members
Cheaper Than Therapy
★★★★★
These are the kind of tools that people go to therapy for. For most people, actual therapy is not accessible in the way that this is. The tools you can learn are things you would get in that setting. I think that in itself is worth it to me.
Only Membership I’ve Kept
★★★★★
There’s so many memberships out there. Most I dip out after 1-3 months. But I’ve kept my membership for 6 years. The community is so refreshing! Others who embrace their authentic weirdness. My life is honestly so much brighter.
You Could Stay for Years
★★★★★
I don’t think it’s obvious the depth of information and resources that are actually in this group on the outside. If you interact with people, this can be as immersive as you want it to be. You could go for years and just deep dive into all the stuff.
Perfect for ADHD Brains
★★★★★
If you have ADHD, this fits how your brain works. Drop in when you need inspiration, joy, or creativity. No pressure. Just support that fits real life.
Laugh Until You Cry
★★★★★
This is one of the best and most cost effective things you can do to take care of yourself. Mary’s creativity never ceases to amaze me, a 68 year old woman. Mary is full of light and love, without being unrealistic. Laugh until you cry.
Real Results in Week One
★★★★★
Within the first week, I learned real self-care and new mental health techniques that are already helping my anxiety and depression day to day.
So Much to Offer!
★★★★★
I don’t know if there’s even any other groups out there that exist like this. Having the ability to go beyond internal work and do one on one coaching if you need it for a particular point in your life.
The World Needs You
★★★★★
Moving slowly through your program, I started to cry. I’m beyond thrilled to know you’re out there. The world needs you.

What exactly is Strange & Functional?
Strange & Functional is a living library and community with 280+ psychologically grounded resources for getting off autopilot, reconnecting to yourself, and remembering how to play. Think tools for real energy levels, real moods, and a brain that doesn’t always cooperate.
How does the free trial work?
You get 3 full days of free access — no charge until the trial ends. If it’s not for you, cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged anything. There’s no pressure and no fine print.
What if I can’t keep up with the content?
That’s literally the point. You don’t move through this in order. You open what matches the day you’re having. There are no schedules, no deadlines, no falling behind. The library waits for you.
Is this therapy? Do I need to be in therapy to join?
This is not therapy and it doesn’t replace it. It’s a resource library and community that’s psychologically informed — you can be in therapy, not in therapy, or somewhere in between. All are welcome.
What if I’m neurodivergent / highly sensitive?
This was literally built with you in mind. The drop-in structure, the absence of pressure, the humor, the variety of formats — all of it is designed to work with how your brain actually functions, not against it. Many members have ADHD, autism, anxiety, or sensory sensitivities.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, always. Cancel any time, no questions asked. Monthly members can cancel before the next billing date. Annual members have access through the end of their paid year. No cancellation fees.
What’s the difference between monthly and annual?
Same access, same library, same community. Annual is $333/year — which saves you $111 compared to monthly ($37 × 12 = $444). It works out to about $27.75/month, or just 91 cents a day. If you plan to stick around, annual is the better value.
