About five years ago, my coworker didn’t get into the PhD program she wanted and was bummed. Instead of doing my homework that evening, I spent hours making her an acceptance letter packet from The School Of Hard Knocks.
Jessica Hische said that the work we do when we procrastinate is the work we should be doing with our lives. I want to find ways to make silly fun my life’s work, and I’m SO happy to see little traces of evidence that I’m getting closer and closer to where I want to be. This Fall, I’m working at the Monarch Workshop. My official title is Merriment Maker, and I didn’t even make that up.
