I never posted them because I wanted to get to 10. But these 5 photos need to see the light.

So here we go... 🌈 here’s how I was able to live my OWN (Merriment Making) Method in February 2026. 🌞
I’m especially proud of myself for doing this because this month was very chaotic with adjusting to working two jobs.

How was YOUR February? ⤵️

What do you think about these ideas? (Check out the 📍 pinned post on my profile for the walkthrough!)

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we talk about p I’ve been thinking a lot about how we talk about patriarchy.

Most conversations collapse into men vs women so quickly that we never actually get to the system itself. And if we can’t name the system clearly, we end up arguing with each other instead of changing the conditions that exhaust all of us.

This post (and podcast) is my attempt to slow that down.

I’m not interested in declaring an entire gender the problem. I’m interested in asking what kinds of power structures make care invisible, overwork people, and make repair feel optional. I’m also interested in what structures actually help humans feel safer, more resourced, and more able to show up for each other.

The ladder and the circle is just a metaphor that helps me think about this. One concentrates power and outsources care. The other distributes responsibility and treats care as infrastructure. Most of our lives are some messy mix of both.

I keep coming back to the question:
What kind of system makes it easier for people to rest without guilt, repair harm sooner, and share the weight of living?

Because when those conditions exist, something interesting happens. People soften. Creativity returns. Community feels possible again. Joy doesn’t have to be forced. It just has room to breathe.

That’s the kind of world I want to rehearse in small ways through Merriment Making. Tiny circles inside a very ladder-shaped world.

If you’re someone who holds a lot of nuance and still wants things to be better, this one is for you.

🎧 The full episode goes deeper into the history, psychology, and the practical ways we can live this out in our actual lives.
