What’s important to me with teaching the merrime What’s important to me with teaching the merriment making method/what I want people to know/what I want to share:

- Sharing the unique details and overlooked beauties of the world

- Making self-care fun

- Talking about mental health easy and non stigmatized

- Celebrating what makes people weird, and normalizing weirdness (whatever that is for someone)

- Making it okay for adults to play and connect to their inner child (and do things like have toys and stuffed animals and watch cartoons without feeling shame)

- Self-love is only the beginning of personal development— once we feel good, we need to channel that energy into something that we are good at and give back to something (a community, a person, the environment, etc.) this is the feel good to do good ethos; otherwise self-love is purely selfish and we are also here to take responsibility for more than ourselves to make the world a better place

- The world (and humanity) is better than we think it is; we need to document, share, and create good news to counteract the media’s insidious agenda for making us fearful of everything

Whatever made me was about to hit the red button t Whatever made me was about to hit the red button to send me down the soul shoot and they were like, “Hey boss? This one is like.. 60% bubbles and has almost zero spatial awareness. Is that on purpose?”

And before they could answer, someone else tripped and hit the button and I existed.

So we don’t really know if it was on purpose but I’m here.

Bonus tour: 🌟 everything you get, your way. 🍔 (burger king)

I’m really proud of “Everything Sucks, What Now?” 🌥️and I’ve been glad to go through some of the background of it with you this week! 🙂

It’s been great to get such incredible feedback as well. This really seems like something we ALL need right now. 🫶

Today I wanna tell you about the bonuses you get. ⭐️

Take what helps; ignore the rest: ⤵️

📼 Existential Survival Guide — printable for heavy days.

📞 Scream Into the Void Hotline — absurd voice notes (soft comfort, fake hold music, 5 seconds of yelling, then a hug).

🎧 Existential Pep Talks — “You’re not crazy; you’re overwhelmed.” “Existing counts.” Warm voice > hype man.

🧭 Meaning Map — trace tiny moments that felt alive (yes, “smell of laundry” qualifies).

🎲 Absurdity Generator — roll the dice: walk your houseplant, compliment your fridge, narrate your life dramatically.

🗓 1% More Alive Challenge — daily micro-missions to feel slightly human.

📓 ‘Now What?’ Journal (90 days) — gentle structure; zero toxic positivity.

🎧 Playlists — “Feel It All,” “Scream Along,” “Soft Acceptance,” “Rebel Joy.”

📺 Existential Watchlist — perspective over platitudes (Mary’s Picks included).

🃏 Philosophy Prompt Cards — big questions, small cards.

🎭 Rebel Rituals — quiet acts of resistance (library love notes, pizza altar).

🗣️ Optional Live Calls — come ask weird questions… or don’t. Each week = a different theme.

Participate loudly or silently. Cameras optional. Pants optional. Dignity optional but encouraged. Lurk like a cryptid 🌯 (blanket burrito optional)

I wanna make self-help less like a Tony Robbins se I wanna make self-help less like a Tony Robbins seminar 🚫🎥 and more like David Lynch talking to you at a diner at 3 AM. 🥞

No shade to Tony. I’ve read all the books. Done all the seminars… 🙌📚 But I think maybe you have, too. And if you’re STILL unhappy... we need to try something different. 🍌

So that’s what I’m doing. Different.

What if we approached self-development from a place of being silly? 🤪 Having fun? 🦖 Being WEIRD? 🌮

And what if it was accessible to people who are below a 5 on a scale of 1-10 of happiness? ⚖️⬇️

If the idea of feeling better SOUNDS good but kind of impossible… But you’d rather do it laughing at ourselves with 90’s Conan O’Brien humor 😹 instead of hearing the 🚫📊 same dry statistics over and over... then join me.

Everything Sucks, What Now?
Starts October 5th.

Last night Kendall @cloudydaychronicles and I hand Last night Kendall @cloudydaychronicles and I handed out 50 tiny elephants at Water For Elephants while I was dressed like an elephant.

The show has incredible gymnastics. They have real circus performers! I gasped more than once.

It’s playing now at the Hippodrome and coming to a city near you!

If you got an elephant, this is part of me doing 11 thousand acts of joy, kindness, fun, and art in a year! #11kacts

On a scale of 1-10 of feeling good do you fall und On a scale of 1-10 of feeling good do you fall under 3? ⚖️

Does a 5 feel inaccessible?
Does a 10 feel impossible?

People come to personal development for very different reasons. 🐙
Some people are doing pretty good already 👍 and they’re looking to amplify what’s working. They’re at a 6 or 7 and can envision a 10 🧘‍♀️ in their minds.

And some people are coming to it because they’re at a 1 or a 2 and the idea of a 5 seems impossible, let alone a 10. ❤️‍🩹🩹 Frankly: things suck and they need HELP. 👎

The problem is that teachers in this industry make their programs as if these groups of people all have the same needs. 🟰 And that’s not realistic. It’s like when I was in elementary school and there were different reading groups for different levels. 📚 Those existed for a reason.

Moving from a 1 to a 4 creates SUCH a deeper change in your quality of life. 📈

That’s what “Everything Sucks” is for.

This year, I am working on a BIG project to complete 📈 11,000 acts of joy, kindness, art, and fun before June 2026. This Bubble Parade helped us add 100 acts to it!! ✅

Some of my favorite parts: ⤵️

🩷 Seeing people wearing silly hats 🧡 Doing the electric slide 💛 Yelling at the parents, “You’re ridiculous for not being ridiculous!” 💚 April’s giant magic bubble show 🩵The colorful outfits people came dressed in 💙 Being across the street from the Ukrainian festival 💜 Being able to run around through the trees and the sidewalk 🩷 Meeting little doggies 🧡 A 4-year-old showing up grumpy dressed in a rainbow outfit who wasn’t able to stay grumpy very long, but even rainbows have bad days (speaking from personal experience) 💛 The way everyone is always so willing to help 💚 How some people have always come, like George has traveled from Virginia for 10 years to this event 🩵 Talking to kids about whether they were poppers or watchers 💙 When people realized my earrings were bubble wands 💜 The babe with the rainbow umbrella

Don’t forget the fun we had yesterday is always accessible. Just a tube of special soap away. 💫🧼🫧

If you have an act of merriment you’d like to submit to the cause, come learn more here!!!
