Every month, we gather in Baltimore to make uplifting guerrilla art and leave it in the world where people least expect it… but need it most. 🎁

I need to tell you something about this challenge

I need to tell you something about this challenge I’ve been doing. 🤩🩷

You know how most self-care stuff is like, take a deep breath, take a bubble bath 🛁, light a candle 🕯️, and honestly, that’s fine—but I need more. I need play 🪁. I need novelty 🧩. I need things that wake my brain up 🧠⚡ and make me laugh at how weird life is. 🎠

And this little 7-day, 1-minute joy challenge did exactly that. 🎉

🌈 What I loved is that it wasn’t about huge changes. It was these tiny, quirky shifts that made me feel so much more alive.

Like, tapping on my chest to reset my nervous system 💖 (oh hiiiii, “thymus thump”!). Giving my anxious thoughts the most ridiculous cartoon voice so I couldn’t take them seriously. Spotting accidental art in the wild 🎨 and realizing—wow, the world is actually full of weird beauty if I just look for it. 👀

And the flow of it felt kind of perfect too. It starts with calming your system 🧘‍♀️, moves into embracing your own delightful weirdness 🤹‍♀️, and ends with reconnecting to the world around you 🌎.

Basically, it mirrors how I think we make joy in our lives: first, feel good inside 💓. Then, create it in our own way 🎨. And finally, spread it around 🫶.

And the best part? It only takes one minute a day. ⏰

I swear, this has been such a game-changer for me. 🚀 If you’re like me and you crave novelty, play, and those tiny sparks of joy in your day—you gotta try it. ✨
