Happy Thursday! I loved sharing last week’s challenge, with my self portrait. I’m fairly certain they’re my favorite pages in my book. I also love how the tinsel peeks out of the pages, and you’ll be able to see it in today’s photos if you look.

The first two pages were intended to embrace all aspects of emotion and lifestyle. On the left, I wanted to address the fact that it’s okay (and good!) to experience all emotions, even sadness, because it doesn’t take away from who you are at your core. We don’t need to tell women to smile, and we don’t need to be joyful and skipping all of the time, because we’re human.

On the right, I wanted to talk about how it’s okay to live your life the way you prefer. Whether you’re introverted or extroverted, prefer to drink till 3 am on a weeknight or stay on your couch reading on a Saturday night, whether you’re liberal or conservative. It doesn’t matter. Live your life.

The next two pages are simple. Just a stencil reading “color” in rainbow on the left, and some patterned paper underneath a vintage (and used) postcard of a carousel on the right.

On the gold reflective tape I wrote, “find sparkly linings“, which I think is an important thing to keep in mind. (Read: silver linings.)

And the last two pages I have to share with you this week are relatively random. On the left is a sneak peak of the results from the disposable camera installation I did in Brooklyn last month, and the right is just a collaboration of images that aesthetically describe how I’m feeling right now: teal, bold, organized, popped, collected, sexy, calm.
