At work, I try to coincide Spirit Week with the Talent Show. You may remember me dancing in it last year in gold leggings. It’s a nice way to get people revved up for the performances. No matter what I make the days, not that many people participate. My program always does, but participation throughout the rest of the building is pretty sparse. I enjoy it, though, so I kept doing it.
This year, my friend, Stephanie, suggested that I make a photobooth type backdrop, so people could get their pictures taken. I loved that idea, so I did it. I made a banner too, but the “I”s really do look like “T”s because of the connecting pieces.
I offered to take anyone’s picture in front of it. I had fun with it. Here are some pictures of myself and my program posing for Spirit Week.

After the Talent Show, I was going to let anyone who participated in Spirit Week throw water balloons at me, as a way to “get back at me” for making them dress up all week. 🙂 No one came down to do it, though.  So Sarah and I used them all up ourselves. It’s kind of fitting, since she participated every single day. She threw some at me and I attempted to throw four at her, but I missed each time.

I used some of the remaining balloons to burst over my head. It was refreshing, like a pool.

It was a fun week.

Did you have Spirit Week in high school? Did you participate? What were your favorite days to dress up on?
