Snail Mail Game Show | Round 20

Snail Mail Game Show | Uncustomary

Welcome back to the first Snail Mail Game Show round of the new decade! For this round, every contestant got an envelope with a prompt that said, “Venus de Milo is a famous sculpture known for her missing arms, which remain a mystery. She was created to represent a Greek goddess known as Aphrodite, associated with love, beauty, and passion. I want you to imagine that this sculpture is your inner god(dess). What is your name? What do you stand for/represent? What do you look like? How do people feel around you? And what will you fill in the space where the shoulders go with? That might be a clue to your special power!”

The paper included the beginning of a drawing of a goddess, and they were instructed to respond to the prompt however they felt called to, as long as it got back to me through the mail! I’m so in love with these representations of goddesses! Let’s check out the submissions that made their way back to me!

I’m in love with the simplicity of this one, focusing on gratitude and the symbolism of butterflies as metamorphosis.

Artist: Candace

“I am the bringer of color and sparkle and chilly autumn nights. I can be found in the brilliant sparks of bonfires and the comforting, deep rustling of radiantly colored leaves. I dance in the swirling winds that carry scents of warm spices and wood smoke to awaken summer-weary souls. I am The Mighty, Mighty, Boogan Veeya.” – Candace

“Could not think of anything but walking – the heart represents many adventures along the way!” – Ida

Loving this goddess energy, especially in March, Women’s Month! The official winner for Round 20 is April with the grateful butterfly goddess! That one made gave me butterflies in my stomach, pun intended, so April will be getting a prize package in the mail from me.
