I planned to do an interactive installation for my sixth Fun A Day project. I got the idea from one of Keri Smith’s wonderful books, How To Be An Explorer Of The World. I collected a lot of small items and divided them up into categories: things to look at, things to play with, and things to wear/pose with. My plan was to have passersby dress up, get their picture taken, and play around for a bit.

My friend, Charlotte, and I went to Fells Point Saturday morning and set up a table. We had people come up and blow bubbles and play with stuff, but they were mostly children. It was also really cold out, so it wasn’t the ideal time to do it. Charlotte and I have decided that we’re going to do it once a season, since it was so fun. Even if no one comes up to the table, it’s still fun to blow bubbles, wear props, and look at all the pups walking around.

Would you stop at a table like this? Would you ever make one yourself?
