One of my goals for 2012 was to complete at least five yarn bombing projects. Until this weekend I hadn’t installed any and I felt really bad about it. Fortunately, Lovely Yarns is having a yarn bombing contest that I signed up for weeks ago and the deadline was Sunday.. it was just the kick in the butt I needed.

I finally finished everything on Saturday night (with the help of LaShandra offering to take the project home and work on it Thursday night–thank you!!) and went to Hampden with Matt to install it on Sunday. Lovely Yarns has moved but it’s still really close to where it was before. I told the staff there that I was about to sew it on the parking meter and went to work.

I had two people stop to tell me they liked what I was doing and that made me feel really awesome. You can see some of the other awesome submissions on the contest page, but here are some shots I took.

And here’s a close up of mine.

Voting starts the 25th, I’ll be sure to remind you. 🙂
