I’d like to say that turning thirty kicked me in my ass to start checking things off my Bucket List, but really the only Bucket List I was thinking about was my Summer one full of fun outdoor activities! But when Erica came in from out of town on a Harley Davidson, I knew it was finally time to take her up on her offer to ride on the back of her motorcycle and check that baby off my Bucket List! I can’t believe it took me three decades to get that one crossed off the list, but hey. I’ll get there.

Now, let’s talk about the important part: I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I literally yelled the entire time I was having so much fun. Erica was smiling so big that I enjoyed myself so much. She said she’d never had someone so excited to ride a motorcycle in her life and that I definitely needed to own one myself.

Obviously the fact that it was 4th Of July and I was decked out in full red, white, and blue nonsense added to the aesthetic of the whole ordeal (I mean come on, that’s amazing, I look ridiculous).

Thanks to Joe and Cristen for capturing photos and video (including the one of us looking Thelma and Louise riding off into the sunset, except it’s midday in my neighborhood), and of course to Erica for riding me around, fist pumping with me, and driving super fast the wrong way down a one way street accidentally, adding to the thrill of it all.

That won’t be my last time on a bike.
