#78 on my 100 Ways To Be Creative list is to write thank you notes for your friends, family, coworkers, etc. for anything other than gifts. The point being to thank the people you love for things that they didn’t tangibly give you.

I chose to write thank you notes to three friends and five coworkers. I felt that it was important to include things that I like about them and why they make my life better. Everyone that I wrote to inspires me in a different way, and I’m glad to have them in my life.

I mailed the ones to friends and put the ones to my coworkers in their mailboxes in the copy room. I don’t know if any of the snail mailed recipients have received theirs yet, but I really enjoyed my coworkers (who really are my friends too.. I just wanted to be able to make the distinction) thanking me for their thank you notes individually. It was awesome. I got a couple unexpected hugs too. 🙂

Writing people to let you know they appreciate them is good, but stickers from 1990s Highlights magazines are even better. They were a hit.

Have you ever written thank you notes for gifts or otherwise?
